Letter: Generation Build endorses Steve Gregory, Sharon Roden for city council

    letter to the editor

    To the editor,

    – Generation Build is proud to endorse Steve Gregory and Sharon Roden for re-election to the Paso Robles City Council. Their success in office has been marked by a strong commitment to expanding housing options, supporting local businesses, and driving the economic vitality of our city. They understand that Paso Robles is growing, and they have championed policies that ensure our housing market remains accessible, balanced, and inclusive for all residents, from young families to our valued seniors.

Under their leadership, Paso Robles has seen a thoughtful approach to development, with a focus on ensuring infrastructure keeps pace with new housing and that community amenities are maintained to enhance our quality of life. Both Steve and Sharon have been instrumental in creating a business-friendly environment, supporting small business owners, and fostering innovation that keeps our economy strong and dynamic. Their vision for the future is forward-looking, yet rooted in the traditions that make Paso Robles special.

But beyond their accomplishments in housing and economic development, Steve Gregory and Sharon Roden embody the integrity and decency that Paso Robles residents deserve from their leaders. They have consistently worked across the aisle, building consensus among their fellow council members and reaching out to every part of the community, regardless of political affiliation. Whether engaging with long-time residents or new families, Steve and Sharon take the time to listen and bring people together for the common good. They have made Paso Robles a better place to live.

We are prepared to work with whoever wins the city council races. But we write today to ask you, the readers, to fight with us now. We ask that you fight for our ability to afford to live here, your children’s ability to stay here when they grow up, and the health of our local economies. We ask that you fight with your vote on Nov. 5 by joining us in voting for Steve Gregory and Sharon Roden.

Michael Massey, Founder of Generation Build
