Letter: Are the homeless becoming more present in Paso?
To the editor,
I stopped at the local deli for a salad, and before I had a chance to get out of my car, I was accosted by a homeless man telling me I needed to buy him a sandwich. He walked up to me and said that since I drive a BMW (15 years old) I should buy him food. I told him no, that wasn’t going to happen. When I mentioned this to the owner, he ran outside to shoo them away. He said it happens every day and he often has to call the police to get them to leave. It seems the homeless are becoming more present and more emboldened lately. What are we to do?
