Letter: No ‘alien invasions’ that I’ve seen 

To the editor,

Thank you! Dr. Susan. At last a message from the rest of us. I’ve been in these environs for 50 years. We’ve had our problems but no “alien invasions” that I’ve seen. Maybe if I availed myself to outlets that shouted that hordes of “illegals” are smothering me every day I might actually find a few. But it looks like everything is pretty much OK as always. Our oranges, lettuce, broccoli, etc seem to arrive on time as usual and I for one count my blessings and feel some compassion these days. Most of the people I’ve met that do this work are fun-loving, humble and hard working. There IS an invasion from the south of us that disgusts me. But they’re Americans.
