School board candidate withdrawals candidacy

–Ryan Ward released the following statement detailing his intent to withdraw his candidacy from the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District board member race:

To my fellow Paso Roblians,

When I decided to run for a seat on the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Governing Board, I did so with the intent in mind of focusing my efforts on finding the best ways to support teachers in the classroom- the very teachers that make a difference in the lives of the students of the district. By setting our teachers up for success, we set our students up for success.

After some careful and deep consideration, I have decided to cease my own campaign and support the candidates that received the endorsement of the faculty organization- Tim Gearhart and Matt Mcclish. While I am still on the ballot due to missing the deadline to withdraw, I will not be campaigning for myself and instead would like to urge my fellow Paso Roblians to please join me in voting for the faculty endorsed candidates in November.

Thank you for your consideration.
