Letter: Seizing an opportunity frequently results in progress

    Ron Cuff.

    Ron Cuff.

    – We have the opportunity to improve our children’s lives, and our community’s future. Four stellar candidates for the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees are presenting themselves to us. Let’s call them the “Fabulous Four.”

The “Fabulous Four,” if all are elected, will improve our children’s educational environment, health, and safety. They will work hard to make learning fun again. They will fight to uphold parental rights. These are four good citizens willing to do a hard job for a small stipend. They are ready and willing to refocus our schools on the things that matter most. They will uphold the rights of students to a quality education, a drug and alcohol-free learning environment, and a diploma that actually means something.

The “Fabulous Four” will demand that educators have enough respect for their students to keep their politics out of the classroom.

PRJUSD staff and administration will be respected, but never given a rubber stamp. When necessary, the “Fabulous Four” will battle the unelected bureaucrats in Sacramento to implement prudent school policies. They will speak truth to power and demonstrate courage in the face of adversity.

Two of the “Fabulous Four” candidates have served our country in uniform. A third candidate is a PRHS graduate who has shown incredible grace under fire in spite of repeated attacks on her character. The fourth and perhaps most inspiring candidate is an articulate 2022 graduate of Paso Robles High School, who possesses common sense beyond his years.

Seize this rare opportunity to create better schools and higher educational achievement in Paso Robles. Elect Kenney Enney, Leo Castillo, Laurene McCoy, and Hunter Breese to the PRJUSD Board of Trustees.

    Respectfully,

    Ron Cuff, Paso Robles
