Letter: I support George Galvan for Cuesta Board of Trustees
To the editor,
I support George Galvan in his bid to be elected to the Cuesta Community College Board of Trustees. Galvan was my fellow trustee on the Board of the Atascadero Unified School District for over ten years. During this time I was able to see first hand his value to the students of our district. His first priority was what he determined to be in the best interest of our students.
Galvan is honest, caring, and very intelligent. He was always thoughtful in his comments and his decisions. Galvan always voted his conscience and maintained his individuality at all times during our meetings. Ask any district employee and I am sure that each one would say that they always had the support of George Galvan.
As a former high school teacher, I recognize the importance of Cuesta Community College to the education of our graduates, as well as the many adults who take advantage of the opportunities that Cuesta offers. Galvan will bring experience and knowledge to the position of trustee of Cuesta Community College.
