Two wrestlers secure victories in exciting finals matches
– The Lewis Flamson Junior High wrestling team competed in the 17th Annual Spartan Invitational in Salinas on March 22. The event took place at El Sausal Middle School, where 21 teams participated.

Two wrestlers from Lewis Flamson stood out in the competition. Vander Gibson, wrestling at 108 pounds, secured a tech fall victory over his opponent from Spring Grove.
Tyson Ahumad won first place at 225 pounds.
Colton Frederick, competing at 127 pounds, triumphed in a thrilling double-overtime match against a wrestler from Laguna Middle School. Both finals were marked by dimmed lights and a packed gym, adding to the intensity of the matches.

Additional notable finishes included Tyson Ahumad, who won first place at 225 pounds, and Ethan Lansford, who took third place at 86 pounds. Asher Martin also placed third in the 108-pound junior varsity category.
