Liberty High students make fashion affordable
Students host Thrift Shop Fashion Show & donate items to local youth
Students at Liberty High School had the opportunity to walk the runway on June 4 during their Thrift Shop Fashion Show held on the Paso Robles campus.
Throughout the month of May, students collected gently-used clothing and shoes to donate to the Children’s Resource Network that serves San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. Male and female students and staff were on hand the day of the fashion show to model outfits chosen from the donations. The goal was to demonstrate how trendy and cool second-hand clothing can be.
Staff at the school also spent time educating the students about the “green” benefits of purchasing used clothing — from saving money, to recycling clothing that might otherwise be added to the trash flow, and more.
