Paso Robles City Library book group reads ‘The Violin Conspiracy’ this month

    – The Paso Robles City Library will host its monthly book group for an in-person discussion of The Violin Conspiracy by Brendan Slocumb on Wednesday, June 18, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The novel, a Good Morning America Book Club pick, follows Ray McMillian, a Black violinist from rural North Carolina. Despite obstacles, Ray is determined to become a professional musician. His journey takes a turn when he discovers that his family’s old fiddle is a priceless Stradivarius. As Ray’s career begins to soar, the violin is stolen before the Tchaikovsky Competition, with a ransom note demanding five million dollars.

The library offers the book in regular and large print through Black Gold, as well as in eBook and audiobook formats through the Libby digital platform. Click here to register.
