Library book group to discuss 'The Chanel Sisters'

“The Chanel Sisters” by Judithe Little.

    – The Paso Robles City Library invites the community to join its monthly book group discussion of “The Chanel Sisters” by Judithe Little on Wednesday, March 19, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The title is available in print and audiobook through the BlackGold Library System and as an ebook or audiobook via the Library’s Libby digital platform.

“The Chanel Sisters” follows Antoinette and Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, two sisters determined to rise above their humble beginnings. Abandoned by their family and raised by nuns, they dream of a life beyond the convent walls. Their journey takes them from poverty to the fashionable cafes of Moulins, the performance halls of Vichy, and finally to a small hat shop on the rue Cambon in Paris, where they build a business that expands to glamorous French resorts. But when World War I strikes, their lives are forever altered, and the sisters must each find the courage to carve out their places in the world, even if apart from one another.
