Library Study Center in need of afternoon volunteers
–The Paso Robles Library Study Center is in need of afternoon volunteers. Two hours a day, one day a week is all it takes to engage a child with learning and fun at the Paso Robles Library Study Center.
Located at 3600 Oak St., Ste. 101, the Library Study Center was established in 2001 to provide a place for students grades 1-5 to do homework after school. Today, it is a fully circulating children’s library, open Monday-Friday afternoons, with expanded fiction and non-fiction collections, bilingual materials, free Internet, learning tablets, and educational programs and events. Daily attendance averages 60-70 children per day.
Volunteers are needed to help staff provide homework support, enriching activities, and mentorship to children on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, 2:30-4:30; and Wednesdays, 1:30- 3:30.
