Library to host ricotta workshop with food preservation group
Event features live demonstration of fresh cheese preparation
– The Paso Robles City Library will host an in-person ricotta cheese-making class on May 24 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Library Study Center, located at 3600 Oak Street near Uptown Family Park.
The class, taught by the University of California Master Food Preservers, will demonstrate how to make ricotta cheese and introduce food preservation techniques. Participants will learn how to prepare the soft, fresh Italian cheese, which has a mild, slightly sweet flavor and springy texture. Ricotta cheese can be used in various recipes, including pizza and salads.
Registration is open from May 9 through May 21.
