Live Oak Music Festival adds performers

Festival organizers also unveiled the official artwork for the 2026 event

    – Eight additional performers have been added to the lineup for the 38th annual Live Oak Music Festival, which will take place June 19 to June 21 at El Chorro Regional Park in San Luis Obispo.

The festival’s organizer, KCBX Public Radio, previously announced the initial lineup of performers, including headlining acts The Brothers Comatose, Charlie Musselwhite with GA-20, and Neal Francis.

The festival will feature performances from musicians across multiple genres. Twenty-five acts have been confirmed so far, with additional performers expected to be announced.

Artists scheduled to perform include The Brothers Comatose, Charlie Musselwhite with GA-20, Neal Francis, Jackie Venson, Renée Christine, Las Cafeteras, Uncle Lucius, Emily Nenni, Emily Brimlow, Slap Dragon, Francesca Blanchard, J & the Causeways, The Sam Chase & the Untraditional, Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band, Mestizo Beat, Greg Loiacono & Stingray, The Mother Corn Shuckers, Amalia Fleming, Grambo, Dubwise Collective, Electric Lavender, Big Mable & the Portholes, and Low Power Trio. Two children’s concerts will also take place featuring Miss Leo & Captain Kirk and Don Norton.

Festival organizers also unveiled the official artwork for the 2026 event. Northern California artist Gabe Schneider of Sight Study Studio created the commemorative poster.

Schneider designed the artwork in a style reminiscent of early 20th-century California Art Nouveau posters. The design features an oak tree intended to reflect the identity and landscape associated with the festival.

Schneider said the artwork was influenced by his experiences visiting the Central Coast.

“As a Northern Californian who grew up among dark redwoods, I’ve always been attracted to the dry oak forest and rolling hills of the Central Coast. It still feels so novel to me,” Schneider said. “I tried to capture the hills’ yellowing colors in the summer and the oak woodlands’ muted greens. Heavily influenced by tapestry design, this art aims to create a frame that makes you feel like you are looking into another world.”

Schneider’s work includes music posters, editorial illustration, and branding projects for clients including The New Yorker and Pearl Jam.

In addition to live performances, the festival will feature vendors offering food, beverages, apparel, jewelry, artwork, and home furnishings. A daily family schedule will include wellness activities, children’s crafts, and performance opportunities.

Early Bird ticket pricing for the festival is available through March 20, or while supplies last. Full-festival tickets with camping privileges and single-day passes for adults, teens, and children are available at www.liveoakfest.org.

The Live Oak Music Festival is a three-day event held annually in mid-June and serves as a fundraiser for KCBX Public Radio, which broadcasts from San Luis Obispo. The station said more than 500 volunteers help organize the festival each year.
