Live Oak Music Festival tickets go on sale Jan. 26
– Tickets for the 38th annual Live Oak Music Festival go on sale Monday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m., with discounted early bird pricing available through March 20.
The three-day, family-friendly festival will take place Friday, June 19, through Sunday, June 21, at El Chorro Regional Park in San Luis Obispo County.
The festival is organized by KCBX Public Radio and serves as the station’s primary annual fundraiser. Full Festival tickets for adults, teens, and children include camping on the festival grounds at El Chorro Regional Park. Single-day tickets, reserved recreational vehicle campsites, and vehicle camp parking passes are also available.
The event features a wide range of musical styles, including funk, bluegrass, soul, folk, alternative rock, Americana, and world music.
“KCBX looks forward to welcoming your families back to Live Oak this Father’s Day weekend,” said KCBX General Manager Frank Lanzone. “In light of recent federal funding cutbacks, securing your tickets early is one of the easiest things we can all do to help ensure this beloved family tradition continues for years to come.”
Seventeen acts have been confirmed so far, with additional performers to be announced in the coming months. The lineup includes The Brothers Comatose, Charlie Musselwhite and GA-20, Neal Francis, Jackie Venson, Renée Christine, Las Cafeteras, Uncle Lucius, Emily Brimlow, Francesca Blanchard, J and the Causeways, Slap Dragon, Mestizo Beat, Greg Loiacono and Stingray, The Mother Corn Shuckers, Amalia Fleming, Dubwise Collective, and Big Mable and the Portholes.
In addition to live music, attendees can enjoy food from local vendors, activities for all ages, artisan and imported goods from a variety of merchants, a silent auction, wine and beer tastings, open mic performances and talent shows, morning yoga classes, and music jamming workshops.
A Full Festival ticket provides access to the festival on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with overnight camping available throughout the park. Single-day tickets are available for adults, teens ages 13 to 17, and children ages 4 to 12. Children under age four are admitted free with an adult. Attendees may also upgrade their ticket to enter the festival grounds on Thursday, June 18.
Tickets are available through the festival’s website. Festival maps, photos, videos, volunteer opportunities, and frequently asked questions are also available online. Additional performer details and a full schedule of music and family activities will be released in the coming months.
