Local 88-year-old competes in Nevada Senior Games 

–88 year old Pismo Beach resident Dr. Don Morris has been shooting basketballs for over 70 years and has been doing so with amazing accuracy. Recently in Las Vegas at the Nevada Senior Games competition, he shot 20 out of 25 free throws, six 3-pointers, and a hot-shot score of 28, bettering his last year’s scores when he was only 87.

Former outstanding track and field athlete, Naval Aviator, and college professor, retired from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Morris has been competing in the Nevada Senior Games contests for over 20 years and has added 3 gold medals to his well-over-100 medal and trophy collection. He is the founder of the Central Coast Free Speakers Bureau and has written many articles featuring the greatest athletes of the Central Coast.
