Local amateur boxer heads to State Golden Gloves Championship 

–Paso Robles amateur boxer, Andre Jordan, is headed to the State Golden Gloves Championships in Los Angeles in January. Jordan’s coach, Adriel Pebernito, said Jordan won a split decision in February in the Central California Golden Gloves championship in the under 152-pounds Amateur International Boxing Association (AIBA) division. Winning this title put Jordan in line to compete for the state championship.

Jordan fought earned the Central Coast championship after a rematch with Derrick Clayton. “Winning the State Championship means Jordan will be competing on a national level,” said Pebernito. Jordan trains at Pebernito’s Paso Robles gym, the Knock Out Gym and Fitness.
