Historical mystery set in 1938 Cairo will be formally released at a December book signing
– Local fiction author Sally Dallas has released her fifth book, “Curse of the Gold Falcon,” a historical fiction novel set in 1938 in Cairo, Egypt.
The story follows orphaned twins who believe family legends that they are descendants of Egyptian royalty. Their pursuit of their ancestral possessions stirs the wrath of the Egyptian sky god Horus, according to Dallas. She describes the novel as a story of family commitment, moral obligation and retribution, and as a cross between historical fiction and mystery, with a dash of fantasy.

“Curse of the Gold Falcon” will be formally released with a book signing at the second annual Authors Showcase at Sculpterra Winery on Saturday, Dec. 5, at the winery, 5015 Linne Rd., in Paso Robles. The book is currently available for purchase on Amazon.
Paso Robles Daily News previously reported on the showcase and on the winery’s first Central Coast authors showcase last year.
