Local book fair sets sales record

From The Vine, June 1 issue

—Kermit King Elementary just wrapped up the Spring Book Fair and shattered the record sales by selling over $8000 worth of books. With those sales, the library was able to add 50 books to its collection by utilizing some of the book fair rewards dollars. In addition, students also had the opportunity to earn free books and posters that were raffled off.

First-timeChairperson and Kermit King Library Technician, Desirae De Hoyos, would like to thank all staff, parents, and students for making her first book fair the school’s most successful to date.
