– Central Coast cookie company the Brown Butter Cookie Company will launch brown butter sea salt shortbreads made with Ghirardelli chocolate chips across its three retail shops, including the Paso Robles location, on June 5.
Founded in 2008 by sisters Traci and Christa Hozie, Brown Butter Cookie Company has gained renown for its artisanal cookies, notably its hand-rolled Brown Butter Sea Salt and Classic-style cookies. Now, the company aims to further elevate its offerings with a partnership with Ghirardelli.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Ghirardelli and expand our shortbread cookies product line with their elevated chocolate flavor profiles,” said co-founder Traci Hozie-Alderson. “The combination of our brown butter, vanilla, and sea salt cookie with Ghirardelli’s chocolate chips has created a flavor profile that our customers are going to crave.”
The new cookies will be available in three flavors: White Chip, Chocolate Chip, and Dark Cocoa Chocolate Chip.
To celebrate the launch, Brown Butter Cookie Company will host a special event on June 22. Customers are invited to sample all three flavors and take advantage of a special gift with purchase promotion.
The promotion includes a sampler containing one of each of the three new flavors, which will be gifted with any purchase of a “made with Ghirardelli” product (one per customer).
This celebration will take place at all three retail locations in Cayucos, downtown San Luis Obispo, and downtown Paso Robles on June 22, during regular business hours.
