Local elementary school teacher posting arts and crafts videos for kids

–Virginia Peterson Elementary School teacher Stormy Capalare is back with more videos on her Youtube channel that she launched after she was inspired to help her students and their families dealing with home isolation in the coming weeks.

Earlier in March, Capalare released, “How to talk with kids about the Coronavirus,” and “How germs spread activity,” where she demonstrates how germs are spread using glitter and hand lotion.

This week, Capalare has started to offer 26 days of fun arts and crafts projects designed for her students and their families.

“During this challenging time, it seems as though the need to stay in our homes in isolation is greatly increasing,” said Capalare. “I can only imagine the degree of challenges and hardship this has created for so many families. As an attempt to lessen the feeling of loneliness and isolation I will be posting art lessons that hopefully will provide an at-home activity that families can add to their daily schedule.”
