Local man arrested for stabbing his 18-year-old brother
–On Thursday, the Paso Robles Police Department arrested 20-year-old Matthew Meyer for assault with a deadly weapon. Officers responded to a 911 call in the 2000 block of Silverwood Way for a reported argument between Matthew and his 18 year-old brother. Officers learned the argument had escalated to a physical fight and Matthew had retrieved a steak knife from the kitchen. The victim turned to move away from his brother and Matthew stabbed his brother in the back near his left shoulder blade. EMS arrived on scene and transported the victim to TCH with non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Matthew was placed under arrest and transported to county jail where he was booked on the charge of assault with a deadly weapon
