    Local moving company donates 500 turkeys for families in need 

    Volunteers assist families during two-day Thanksgiving giveaway

    Central Coast Moving & Storage is expanding its annual Thanksgiving donation program by providing 500 turkeys to families in need across San Luis Obispo County.

    Seventy-five percent of the turkeys will be distributed in North County, with the remaining 25 percent going to South County. Deliveries will be made by Central Coast Moving trucks, which are insulated to ensure freshness and reliability during transport.

    In North County, families can pick up turkeys on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Adventist Health Twin Cities. In South County, distribution will take place on Friday, Nov. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Adventist Health Sierra Vista.

    “At Central Coast Moving, giving back is part of who we are,” said Austin Yarborough, owner. “After seeing the difference we made last year, we’re proud to go bigger! Our 400 turkeys plus 100 from Adventist Health on the Central Coast mean many more families can gather around a worry-free meal this Thanksgiving.”

    Volunteers from both Central Coast Moving and Adventist Health will assist with logistics, greeting families, distributing turkeys, and handing out community-resource flyers.

    “For many in our community, receiving a holiday meal brings warmth, dignity, and a heartfelt reminder that neighbors are looking out for one another,” Yarborough said. “By organizing this large-scale turkey distribution, Central Coast Moving & Storage is ensuring that no matter where you live in San Luis Obispo County, you have the chance to gather, give thanks, and be supported by your neighbors.”
