Local wine, beer-making club scores big at Mid-State Fair
–Wines and Steins club members scored big in the Mid-State Fair Home Winemaking competition. They garnered 5 Gold, 11 Silver, 5 Bronze and 5 Honorable Mention awards.
“Many of our members are making award-winning wines in part due to our club mentorship program,” said Club President Tom Johnson. “It gets members who are new to winemaking off to a good start. Many times those who were mentored go on to being mentors themselves.”
