Event benefits local charity
– The second annual White Wine Invitational, a tasting event featuring white wines from 11 of Paso Robles’ top producers, will take place on Friday, June 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Rava Wines in Paso Robles.
The event will include a selection of white wines and sparkling wines from local wineries. All ticket sales will be donated to Must! Charities.
Paso Robles’ white wines have gained recognition from leading wine critics and publications, including Wine Enthusiast, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Vinous. The event aims to showcase the creativity and diversity of white wines from Paso Robles.
“White wine is not just about Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc,” said Dave McGee, winemaker at Monochrome. “There is a much broader range of varieties, blends, and winemaking styles, and that is one of the things we offer here in Paso. I don’t think anywhere else in the world is creating such a broad, diverse, and creative range of truly excellent white wines. The upcoming White Wine Invitational will provide a great opportunity for consumers and industry personnel to experience that.”
Participating wineries include Barton Family Wines, IIWII, Kinero Cellars, Monochrome, Paix Sur Terre, Rococo Wines, Union Sacre Winery, Rava Wines, Giornata, Tablas Creek and Lone Madrone.
Asian-themed food will be available for purchase from Momotaro Ramen and Sichuan Kitchen SLO, and live music will be performed by 5 Parts Devil.
Tickets can be purchased through Willow Creek Wine Co. at https://www.exploretock.com/willowcreekwineco.
