Local winery launches new podcast
Podcast includes guests from Wine Folly, James Suckling, and more
– J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines has launched a new podcast, Share The Lohr, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the people, places, and ideas shaping the wine industry. The podcast, hosted by members of the Lohr family and the winery team, is now available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and the J. Lohr website.
Share The Lohr features conversations with wine industry figures, including Madeline Puckette of Wine Folly, Susan Kostrzewa of James Suckling (formerly of Wine Enthusiast), and Kristen Demergian of Breakthru Beverage Group. Upcoming guests include Meridith May of The Tasting Panel and Sommelier Journal, Kristen Barnhisel, winemaker white wines at J. Lohr, and Sukience Maxwell, marketing director at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.
“For 50 vintages, wine lovers have trusted J. Lohr for quality and value. Now, with the Share The Lohr podcast, it’s our chance to tell the stories behind the wines—and to shine a light on the collaborations, partnership, and ideas shaping the future of wine. Each episode brings something fresh: a big idea, a lesson learned, or a moment from our family’s journey,” said Cynthia Lohr, co-owner and chief brand officer at J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines.
The podcast title originates from the hashtag #ShareTheLohr, developed by Cynthia Lohr during her time as vice president marketing. For over a decade, the hashtag has been used as a call-to-action on J. Lohr’s social media platforms, encouraging consumers to share their wine experiences. The podcast expands that messaging, with “taste along” suggestions provided in several episode descriptions to engage listeners more interactively.
Episode topics include wine education, leadership, media trends, and e-commerce. The podcast is designed for wine consumers, professionals, and those new to the industry.
J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines was founded 51 years ago by Jerry Lohr and remains family-owned and operated.
