Local woman completing certification as Navy airman

– Paso Robles woman and Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Amber Deranek is taking her final training steps. On Aug. 15 she joined other sailors from the USS John C. Stennis Aircraft Carrier Strike Group for a Composite Training Unit Exercise and Joint Task Force Exercise, the final step in certifying to deploy.
