Local contractor’s truck stolen at night

Have you seen this stolen truck?

    missing truck.

    Mason Korhn’s stolen truck.

Paso Robles contractor Mason Krohn had his black 1999 Dodge truck stolen this week. The truck had all his work tools inside of it.

“These are new tools, and like everyone knows tools are expensive,” said Krohn. The theft took place on Wednesday sometime during the night in front of their Olive Street home. “I parked the truck that night, and when I got up the next morning it was gone.”

What is Krohn doing for transportation? “I have to go off the kindness of friends hearts, and now I have to use all my old tools since all my nice tools were in my truck,” he said. “Honestly the bummer is that this was my dad’s truck that he gave me.”

Here is some general information in case you see the truck.

    • Black 1999 Dodge pickup truck with black camper shell
    • License plate number: 5Z31207

If you believe that you have seen the truck contact Officer David Torres at the Paso Robles Police Department at (805) 237-6464.

Why can these thieves get off their lazy butts, stop thinking the world owes them, get jobs and earn their own trucks and tools like the rest of normal society??

    Vanessa Preasmeyer Harris

Scum sucking off the hard working tax payers. They'll never find that truck. They've taken it to garage and with a skilled team of mechanics they've put together a new truck and sold to dealership. Sad

    Bee Katt

Why should they? What's their incentive to work like the rest of us? Nothing. They get free or reduced health care, dental care, donated food from food banks, their kids get free/reduced breakfast AND lunch at school, free/reduced cost child care… The more we become a welfare society, the more thefts we'll see.

Really…is this newsworthy? A 15 year old pickup with some tools? Nice scoop PRDN. You must be scratching.

Joe Pauly, This may not be relevant news to you, but to someone like me, who lives right off of Olive St. and my SO is also a contractor whose tools are always in his truck; Yes, this is newsworthy and I'm thankful to them for informing the local community that this is something to be aware of.

    Sarah Bolyard

You have no idea what your talking about.

    Joe Pauly

I beg to differ Sarah…oh I beg to differ.

    Frances Contreras

Was this truck broken into before? The driver side window is smashed.
