The North County Dance and Performing Arts Foundation presents a family-friendly, full-length ballet production of The Magical Tale of Cinderella at the Templeton Performing Arts Center on Friday and Saturday, May 9 and 10, with a special student preview night being held on Thursday, May 8.

Directed by Cheryle Armstrong and Amy Wescom, choreographers David and Katie Eck and Amanda Bravo, the production is based on the French version of Cinderella by Charles Perrault and the Disney version of the Cinderella Story.

Templeton High junior Tori Akers is dancing the lead role of Cinderella; the stepsisters will be danced by THS senior Brielle Sharp and Paso Robles High School junior Robin Harrington. The Seasonal Fairies of the Forest and the Fairy Godmother will also light up the stage. The supporting cast of dancers range in age from 5 to 65+ years, with professional dancer Jackson Stewart in the lead role of The Prince.

The Templeton Performing Art Center is located on the Templeton High School campus at 1200 Main St. Student Night performance & Canned Food Drive on Thursday, May 8 at 7 p.m. benefits the local chapter of Loaves & Fishes. The ballet will begin at 7:30 p.m on Friday, May 9 and again on Saturday, May 10 at 2 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults $25; children 12 & under, $22.
