Magnitude 3.3 earthquake rattles North County
–A magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck 12 km, or approximately 7.5 miles, northeast of San Miguel Thursday at 8:45 a.m., according to the United States Geological Survey.

Earthquake at 8:45am this morning – October 30, 2015? Interesting – it's now 8:13am. I guess that gives me time to preapre for it.
The article did say Thursday. But I agree it was poorly written.
