Main Street promoting ‘Shop Small Saturday’

–Paso Robles Downtown Main Street Association is promoting Shop Small Saturday this weekend.
The promotion started several decades ago by American Express, to encourage shoppers to visit local retail stores. It has grown into a national promotion to encourage people to patronize local small businesses, which contributes to economic well-being and local tax revenue.
Mary Uebersax of Earthtones on Park Street in Paso Robles passed out “Shop Small” buttons at Paso Robles City Council Meeting Tuesday night. Mayor Steve Martin read a proclamation celebrating Small Business Saturday in Paso Robles.
