Make a ‘candy grabber’ at the library Feb. 25

–On Monday, Feb. 25 4-5 p.m. in the Library Story Room, the Paso Robles City Library invites children in first grade or older to participate in this month’s Maker Monday and make a candy grabber.

“Our Maker Monday Series is entering its third year and we continue to have fun exploring science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics with our young patrons,” said Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey. “By giving children a safe place to design, test, and create, we encourage these learners to question the world around them in ways that develop critical thinking skills, while digging in and getting their hands dirty. Maker Mondays is one of my favorite classes to teach because the children always come up with new ways to do the project that are so creative and we get to make a big mess! What’s more fun than that?”

Maker Mondays are the fourth Monday of every month. The program is free but limited to the first 30 participants. Free admission tickets are available at the Children’s Desk beginning at 3:30 p.m. the day of the program.
