Update: Paso Robles man charged with committing sexual acts with children

–Jason Robert Porter, a 44-year-old man from Paso Robles, has been arrested on seven counts of lewd acts upon a child, five counts of sexual acts with a child under ten, one count of sexual exploitation of a child, one count of possession of child pornography, and nine counts of secretly recording victims, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives have identified and contacted the families of the nine identified molestation victims. They are encouraging anyone with information regarding additional victims to contact the Paso Robles Police Department.
Paso Robles PD detectives began an investigation into suspect Jason Porter after his arrest on June 23. As part of this investigation, detectives served a search warrant at Porter’s residence on June 24. During the service of that search warrant, detectives located and seized several computers, numerous digital information storage devices and multiple cameras.
With the assistance of personnel from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab, the seized computers and storage devices were searched and thousands of digital images and videos of suspected child pornography were discovered. Some of the images and videos appeared to have been manufactured by Porter, and detectives discovered images of Porter in the act of sexually molesting at least nine different juvenile girls.
An arrest warrant was obtained and on July 15, at approximately 3:30 p.m. officers from the South Pasadena Police Department located and arrested Porter without incident in the 1100 block of El Centro in that city. Porter was housed at the Alhambra City Jail and Paso Robles Police Department detectives responded there and took Porter into custody at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Porter was transported to the Paso Robles PD detention facility and later booked into the SLO County Jail. His bail has been set at $7,000,000.00.

–Jason Robert Porter, a 44-year-old Paso Robles man, was arrested on Saturday in South Pasadena on suspicion of committing sexual acts with children and possessing child pornography, according to reports.
This marks his second arrest involving lewd acts and child pornography in a less than a month. He remained in custody on Sunday on $7 million bond and potentially faces 23 charges stemming from the arrest, reports say.
This case is still under investigation. No further details are available at this time.

Jason Robert Porter reportedly committed multiple lewd acts with same victim
–On Thursday, June 23, 2016, at approximately 10:55 p.m., the Paso Robles Police Department received a report of a disturbance outside a residence in the 1000 block of Vista Grande Street. Officers arrived, separated the involved parties, and learned an adult female resident interrupted an adult male visitor while he was in the act of taking lewd photographs of her six-year-old daughter. The girl’s mother took immediate action to protect her daughter and then alerted other adults in the home, which led to the disturbance and the call to police.
As a result of this investigation, it was discovered that the suspect had allegedly committed a lewd act with the same victim at a previous date and time. Forty-four-year-old Paso Robles resident Jason Robert Porter was arrested at the scene and later booked into the SLO County Jail on the following charges:
- Possession of child pornography (felony)
- Lewd act with a child under 14 years of age (felony)

I fought for 6 years in Family Court to keep my daughters safe from this family — I specifically fought to protect my daughters from THIS man, his father and his brother.
I heard this news one hour ago and I feel sick for this poor child and her mother. This news is devestating but sadly, not suprising to me. I am sad that it took this long for the light to be shown on this family….and that someone else had to be hurt in the process.

I have known Jason for many years. I was married to his brother. I fought for six years in the Family Court system to keep my daughters away from family. 24 hours after finding out…and I still feel sick.
Of course not but classification of the crime is different but really at end of the day its the same thing even though they may be classified differently the main thing is they both end up as felony charges and the perosn goes to jail/prison
