Update: Weapons, drugs found at scene of domestic violence incident

–The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is releasing new information regarding a domestic violence incident that occurred in the 300 block of Colony Drive in rural San Luis Obispo.

That incident occurred on Feb. 27, when deputies responded to a report of domestic violence at that location. The suspect in that incident, 29-year-old Ivan Bojorquez, had fled the area before deputies arrived. A search of the area located his abandoned vehicle and a backpack. Bojorquez was later located by deputies and detectives at a neighboring residence of the original crime scene. Bojorquez was taken into custody without incident.

Two firearms including ammunition and two pairs of brass knuckles were located inside a backpack belonging to the suspect. Two pounds of methamphetamine, scales, and packaging material all indicating the sale of narcotics were also found in the backpack.
The victim was pregnant at the time and had to be treated at two separate local emergency rooms for injuries related to two separate assaults.

Bojorquez remains in San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges including attempted kidnapping, threatening with intent to terrorize, inflicting corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant, and preventing a witness/victim from reporting a crime

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s detectives and deputies have arrested 29-year-old Ivan Bojorquez, a suspect wanted for a domestic violence incident that occurred in the 300 block of Colony Drive in rural San Luis Obispo.

On Saturday, at approximately 9:20 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of domestic violence at that location. Prior to their arrival, the suspect Bojorquez, was believed to have fled on foot. Deputies contacted the adult female victim, who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

A search of the area located his abandoned vehicle and a backpack containing firearms. A search for the suspect was conducted with the assistance of an Atascadero Police Department K9, and the CHP Helicopter, but Bojorquez was not located at that time.

On Monday, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Bojorquez was located by deputies and detectives at a neighboring residence of the original crime scene. Bojorquez was taken into custody without incident.

Bojorquez was taken to County Jail where he was booked at 5:57 a.m. on several charges including attempted kidnapping, threatening with intent to terrorize, inflicting corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant, and preventing a witness/victim from reporting a crime. His bond was set at $50,000.
