Man stabbed in the back at Paso Robles apartment complex
Asiv Mellin, a 29-year-old resident of Paso Robles.
–On Saturday at 8:35 p.m., Paso Robles Police Department officers and personnel from the Paso Robles Emergency Services responded to the courtyard area of the Presidio Apartments, located at 3200 Spring St., regarding a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located a single victim in the courtyard who was suffering from a small stab wound to the back. The victim was transported to Sierra Vista Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury.
Officers learned the victim was drinking with friends in the courtyard, when the group was approached by Asiv Mellin, a 29 year old resident of Paso Robles. An altercation broke out and Mellin stabbed the victim once in the back before fleeing in a light-colored Chevy Silverado with a matching tonneau cover.
Paso Robles police say the suspect in Saturday’s stabbing turned himself in on Monday.
