Man stabbed near Denny’s in San Luis Obispo 

Victim’s injuries were not considered life threatening

–Early Saturday morning at about 3:15 a.m., San Luis Obispo police officers were dispatched to the report of a stabbing which occurred in the 200 block of Madonna Road near the Denny’s restaurant in San Luis Obispo.

Initial information provided was that a 23-year-old male victim was stabbed multiple times by an unknown suspect. The victim was transported by friends to an area hospital where he was currently being treated for his injuries. Officer responded to the area of Denny’s and collected evidence and identified witnesses to the assault.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early twenties. He is approximately 5’-8” to 5’-10” tall, medium build with black hair wearing all black clothing including a black jacket.

Based on witness statements at the scene, investigators do not believe robbery was a motive in this case. The victim does not know the suspect.

The victim’s injuries were serious in nature but not considered life threatening and he has been released from the hospital.
