Mary Lou Gonzales dies at 69

—Mary Lou Gonzales of Santa Maria, Ca. passed away on Nov. 5, 2017.
Mary Lou was born on September 17, 1948. She was the daughter of Brigida Alvarado and the sister’s to Theresa Ruiz and Frances (Jose) Soto and an Aunt to Carlos(Angela) Soto, Ricardo(Karen) Soto and Jose Soto.
Mary Lou was a student and a worker for many years at the vocational training center. It was very important to her to be able to bring home a paycheck like the rest of her family. She enjoyed having her own money to be able to buy gifts for family and friends. She enjoyed being at family gatherings and loved to dance and sing. And especially family camping trips. Our Aunt and Sister will be greatly missed. She was strong in spirit heart and soul.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her brother Gilbert Ortega, brother-in-law Jesse C. Ruiz, mother Brigida Alvarado and her sister Theresa Ruiz.
The family of Mary Lou would like to extend their appreciation and care to Santa Maria Care Center. Who provided end of life care and human kindness.
Visitation will be held at Dudley Hoffman Mortuary on Tuesday November 14, 2017 at 6:00 pm. A memorial mass will be held Wednesday November 15, 2017 at 10:45 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
A reception will immediately follow at the Santa Maria Elks Lodge 1538.
A private interment to be at a later date.
