McDonald’s looking to hire nearly 20 thousand employees in California, including Paso Robles

–Fast food restaurant chain McDonald’s is looking to hire nearly 4,000 restaurant employees throughout the Bay Area and more than 19,800 people across California during an anticipated busy season.

On Tuesday, May 21 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., job seekers are encouraged to come into more than 200 participating Bay Area restaurants in such cities as San Francisco, Berkeley, Palo Alto, San Jose, as well as Paso Robles. On this day, they’ll be able to submit applications for available crew member and manager positions, and in many cases be interviewed on the spot.

During this time, prospective employees will learn about McDonald’s restaurant perks including Archways to Opportunity, a program that provides restaurant employees the chance to earn a high school diploma, receive upfront college tuition assistance (up to $2,500/year), access free education/career advising services and learn English as a second language. All employees who work at least 15 hours per week are eligible for Archways to Opportunity benefits after 90 days. So if an employee gets hired for the summer, they are eligible for tuition assistance for their fall college courses.

Participating local cities in nearby counties include Paso Robles, Atascadero, Santa Maria Buellton, Lompoc, Goleta, Santa Barbara, Monterey, and Salinas.
