Update: Police and fire open house postponed
Update posted Oct. 2:
Event postponed due to extreme heat
– The Paso Robles Police Department and Paso Robles Emergency Services have postponed today’s open house at the Public Safety Center due to extreme heat and concerns for public health and safety.
The new date for the open house is set for Oct. 16 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The event will offer community members an opportunity to engage with first responders, explore safety equipment, and learn more about local services.
In the meantime, authorities urge residents to take precautions during the excessive heat by staying indoors, drinking plenty of water, and being mindful of vulnerable populations, including the elderly, children, and pets, who are at higher risk of heat-related illnesses.
