    Megadeth to perform at California Mid-State Fair

    – The California Mid-State Fair will host Megadeth in concert July 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Chumash Grandstand Arena in Paso Robles, with special guest Exodus.

    Tickets go on sale March 27 at 10 a.m. and are priced at $50, $60, $80, and $90 for pit. Fair admission is sold separately. Tickets are available at MidStateFair.com and Ticketmaster.com.

    Megadeth’s lineup includes Dave Mustaine on vocals, guitar, songwriting, and production; Teemu Mäntysaari on lead, rhythm, and acoustic guitars; James LoMenzo on bass guitar; and Dirk Verbeuren on drums. The band was founded in 1983.

    Megadeth has sold 50 million records worldwide, received a Grammy Award with 12 additional nominations, generated billions of streams, and placed nine entries in the top 10 of the Billboard 200.

    Their catalog includes the platinum “Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying?,” ranked No. 8 on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time”; the platinum “Rust In Peace”; and the double-platinum “Countdown To Extinction,” which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. “Dystopia” debuted in the top three and earned a Grammy Award in the “Best Metal Performance” category. Their 2022 release, “The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!,” returned the band to No. 3 and received a Grammy nomination for “Best Metal Performance” for the track “We’ll Be Back.”

    In January 2026, Megadeth released what has been billed as the band’s final studio album. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking the band’s highest chart debut, and reached No. 1 in 11 countries while landing top-five positions on 11 additional charts.

    The California Mid-State Fair runs July 15–26.
