Melanie Devaney to perform in Paso Robles Oct. 11
– Songwriters At Play Showcase will present the Melanie Devaney on Oct. 11, from 1-4 p.m. at Sculpterra Winery, 5015 Linne Rd., Paso Robles. The show is all ages, and there is no cover charge.
Melanie Devaney is a native of rural Iowa, now living in Hollywood. She spends a lot of time on the road, touring throughout the U.S. One writer described her music as “at times country, at times pop, she’s like a mix of Carole King and Emmylou Harris with confessional lyrics and heartfelt music to spare.” Classically trained in piano with a degree in creative writing, her songs are stories from her own life’s adventures and the cast of characters she has met and created from her journeys. With a personal mission to “create beauty and change one song at a time,” Devaney strives to use to her music to, “inspire others to make the world a little better through simple acts of compassion and understanding.”
The showcase also includes special guests Grover Anderson, J.W. Teller, Wicked Saints, and Alice Wallace.
