Mid-State Fair daily schedule for Tuesday, July 16
Cutting hose show and Miss California Mid-State Fair Scholarship Pageant are early events
–The fair has a long history of supporting and showcasing equestrian events and the cutting horse show at 8 a.m. on Tue, July 16 is just one example. Arrive early at the Hearst Equestrian Center to watch these agile equines keep a lonely steer from getting back to the safety of its herd.
Later, at 7 p.m. the Frontier Stage is hosting the Miss California Mid-State Fair Scholarship Pageant. This year five contestants are competing for scholarship awards that will further their post-high school education. This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the annual pageant, and a special program will recognize winners and contestants of past pageants. Parking and admission are free.
