Mid-State Fair Home Winemaking Competition registration now open

– The California Mid-State Fair is now accepting entries for the annual Home Winemaking competition that will be held in May. Registration closes Friday, April 20, 2018. Exhibitors are to enter online at http://cmsfw.fairmanager.com/.

“We are excited to continue the relationships with the local businesses and bring on new ones that support the competition,” said Mike Jones, Home Winemaking Coordinator. “The goal of the competition is not only to showcase the work of our home winemakers but offer an educational component to our exhibitors.”

Award donors Baker Wine & Grape Analysis, ETS Laboratories, Vintner’s Vault, and new in 2018, Laffort, have donated some great prizes for the Best of Red, White, Dessert and the coveted Best of Show.

Wines will be received Monday, April 23 through Friday, April 27 at the Paso Robles Event Center. Judging (Closed) will take place Saturday, May 12 and there will be an exhibitor reception from 5- 7 p.m. Award winners will be showcased during the fair.
