Midnight 5k for Special Olympics set for Oct. 24 in Avila 

– The Special Olympics of San Luis Obispo County will be hosting their 9th Annual Midnight 5k Fun Run in Avila Beach on Saturday, Oct. 24. Check-in and day-of registration starts at 11 p.m. and the fun run starts at Midnight. 

Participants are encouraged to dress up in their best costumes and enjoy a run under the moon lit sky along the coast. Registration is $30 per adult, $15 per child (ages 12 and under), and includes a glow-in-the-dark fun run shirt and a treat at the end of the fun run. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics.
