Morro Bay Witches Paddle returns for 13th annual event
More than 600 participants joined last year’s bay paddle
– The Morro Bay Witches Paddle will take place on Oct. 25, celebrating its 13th year on the Central Coast.
Participants dressed as witches and warlocks will paddle across the bay on stand-up paddleboards, with Morro Rock as the backdrop. Sea otters and sea lions are often seen during the event.
The paddle supports the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County. Organizers said more than 600 people participated in last year’s event. Similar paddles inspired by the Morro Bay gathering have been held in other locations across North America.
