    Update: Multiple fires extinguished over the weekend in Paso Robles

    – The City of Paso Robles has released the following information regarding the fire that occurred Sunday evening on Calle Chorro in Paso Robles:

    On Sunday, June 30, at approximately 9 p.m., Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to a report of a vegetation fire on Caballo Place in Paso Robles.

    Firefighters arrived within four minutes and found a ¼ acre burning up slope in brush and grass. Firefighters were able to stop the forward progress of the fire at 3.65 acres with no damage to structures or infrastructure.

    Three fire engines, a battalion chief, and the deputy fire chief from Paso Robles responded. Five engines, 2 dozers, a water tender, and two crews, and a battalion chief responded as part of the city’s automatic and mutual aid agreements with Cal Fire, Atascadero Fire, Templeton Fire, and San Miguel Fire. Additional assistance was provided by both the Paso Robles Police Department and the San Luis County Sheriff’s department.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation. Several residents reported fireworks in the area just prior to the fire. Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services remind all residents that all fireworks are illegal in the City of Paso Robles and pose great risk during critical fire weather conditions.

    Fire in town may have been started by firework, official cause still under investigation

    – Fire crews had a busy weekend in Paso Robles. Multiple fires broke out and were contained.

    A fire sparked off North Vine Street Sunday night at at around 9:30 p.m. It was located at 3542 Calle Chorro. The smell of smoke filled the downtown. According to a post on the Paso Robles Incidents / Action Facebook group, police scanner traffic this fire was reportedly started by someone setting off a firework, however, the official cause is under investigation.

    The Paso Robles Police Department and Paso Robles Fire Department have not shared any information regarding this fire yet as of Monday morning. They reported to KSBY that there was no information to share other than that crews responded to the blaze.

    Cal Fire crews responded to and contained a grass fire that threatened one structure North of Paso Robles Sunday afternoon:

    Cal Fire crews also responded to a vegetation fire in California Valley. No structures were threatened. The “Brentwood Fire” was contained at 29.8 acres:
