Must charities and heart to heart real estate

Gift marks the largest gift given by Heart to Heart Real Estate

–Mark McConnell and Liz Lee, owners of Heart to Heart Real Estate, presented a check for $23,515 to Must! Charities on March 15, 2016. Scott and Viquel Hawley of Paso Robles designated Must! Charities as the beneficiary through their association with Heart to Heart Real Estate. Must! Charities will use these funds to contribute to a recent collaboration, a four-year, $260k partnership with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) to address the need of children in Northern San Luis Obispo County.

Heart to Heart Real Estate uses funds generated by real estate transactions to, “effect massive change through community partnerships.” At the close of escrow for a transaction, Heart to Heart will disburse 50-percent of the commission to fund the nonprofit organizations designated by their clients.

“Heart to Heart’s business model is the perfect example of how to give sustainably,” said Executive Director of Must! Charities Becky Gray. “In a region where there is only so much to go around it’s wonderful to see a business implementing the model we used when founding must. Make giving a part of the way you do business, make it easy and painless, and generate new money for our community. It’s simple and it works. We are so grateful for Heart to Heart and the Hawley Family.”
