NAACP sponsoring ‘Stand up for America, Take a Knee for Equality and Justice’ rally
–The San Luis Obispo County branch of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) will sponsor a rally on Feb. 3, at the Mission Plaza in San Luis Obispo. The theme is “Stand Up For America, Take a Knee For Equality and Justice for All.”
The rally is scheduled for 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Speakers, booths, food and music will be featured throughout the program.
“Take A Knee” is about Social Justice, according to the NAACP. The NAACP mission is to ensure political, educational, social and economic equality regardless of race, sex, gender or religious beliefs.
