New Centennial Children’s Choir starts classes Sept. 4
Choir is an invitation/audition-only group
– The Centennial Children’s Choir will hold classes from Sept. 4 to Dec. 11. The choir is for boys and girls aged 6 to 16 and focuses on teaching sight singing, vocal technique, harmony, and choral performance. The instructor for the choir is Michelle Leavitt.
This is an invitation/audition-only group. Auditions will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Centennial Park Acorn Room. Children do not need to prepare anything in advance. Auditions will be conducted by instructor Michelle Leavitt in a low-pressure environment. Previous members of the West Coast Creative Choir do not need to audition again.
Interested participants should not register before auditioning. Those unable to attend the audition can contact Leavitt at kmleavitt4@yahoo.com to schedule an alternate time.
Classes will be held every Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Centennial Acorn Room, with no class on Nov. 27. There will be a performance in early December, with details to be provided later.
