New city council members sworn in at Tuesday night’s meeting

New Councilwoman Kris Beal was sworn in on Tuesday night.
Councilmember Steve Gregory selected as mayor pro tempore
– The Paso Robles City Council declared and certified the results of the Nov. 5 Consolidated General Election, officially recognizing the winners for city treasurer and council members for Districts 1, 3, and 4.
As part of the transition, newly elected Councilmember Kris Beal joined the council. Outgoing Councilwoman Sharon Roden was recognized for her service, during which she expressed gratitude for the friendships she made and the lessons she learned over the past year.
Roden wished Beal well, saying, “No doubt she will represent our city well.”
Newly elected officials, including incumbents Steve Gregory, Fred Strong, newcomer Beal, and City Treasurer Ryan Cornell, received their oaths of office and certificates of election during the meeting.

The council unanimously selected Councilmember Steve Gregory as mayor pro tempore.
The council also appointed members to various bodies, with three changes made following discussion. The updated appointments are listed below.
