New director of public works appointed
Dick McKinley will be assuming his new role this month

McKinley is a public works professional with over 25 years of experience. Most recently, he was director of public works for Surprise, Arizona, and prior to that Tacoma, Bellingham and Walla Walla, Washington. He has been responsible for the full range of public works responsibilities, including utilities, roads, general maintenance, solid waste, landfill, fleet, engineering, and capital projects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Michigan State University, and a master’s in public administration from Portland State University.
McKinley is excited about working in Paso Robles. “Public works is a vital component of a thriving community because these core services enhance the quality of life for those who call this home. I look forward to serving the citizens and businesses of this beautiful city well and can’t wait to get to work,” he said.
McKinley will be assuming his directorship this month.
